What's new this week in the 1% Club Community?
What's been happening this week in the 1% Club? Let me catch you up! Vol. 6
Elon has stated that the Twitter algorithm is going open-source this week. This news has largely gone under the radar on CT. I haven’t posted anything in a long time, so I’m not expecting much in terms of engagement. But if it does interest you and you want to learn more, you can read my Thread here:
The Work-with-me squad continues to grow. For those not aware, I’ve been running these sessions for just over 3 weeks now. It started off as 2 or 3 of us, and has quickly grown into 10+ and continues to rise.
I run these sessions every single day to help the community be more productive and achieve their goals. I hope to one day scale these onto Twitter, so that they can help everyone who’s interested across the whole of Web3.
Weekly Roundup of all 1% Club News:
This week we’ve had a wave of new members joining the community, bringing the total number to 540. This increase has been felt in the community, with a noticeable uptick in activity, in an already busy Discord. As always, the 1% Club continues to only improve.
Congratulations to s4mmy.eth for winning this weeks ‘1% Club: Rewards’ challenge! S4mmy consistently writes some of the best Threads across the space, and this is truly a deserved win. Read his winning submission below:
This week we had one Newsletter from NFTGod on Thursday 23rd February. In this edition, he talks about experimenting with his Twitter content and provides 4 actionable content tips for better engagement under the new algorithm. It’s the perfect addition to my Thread ⬆️👀:
For Founding Members: NFTGod has started scheduling the first of your Quarterly 1-on-1 calls with him. Make sure to book yours by DM’ing him on Discord.
And finally, last week we had the continuation of our amazing Club Calls. They are all recorded if you need to catch up. Here’s what you missed:
Daily Work-with-me Pomodoro Live-streams all day with myself (unrecorded).
Amir’s Club Call on Graphic Design & Creation. As well as a graphics and visual content tutorial, Amir did live reviews of people’s Twitter profiles, giving free advice and tips as he went, and even created someones banner for them for free.
This was the first of a weekly series of Club Calls hosted by Amir, with the purpose of slowly building up the community’s skills in any graphics.J0ngA’s Accountability Meeting. As usual this meeting was a banger, and is already helping many people achieve their goals.
No Friday Club Call this week. Resuming normal schedule this week so expect one this Friday!
Community Spotlight ‘Deep Dive’:
This section is used to deep-dive on one Community Member at a time, to give them the chance to talk about anything and everything they are doing in the Web3 Space.
For this week please give a warm welcome to our fifth guest, Chris D aka. The Shreditor!
1. Who is Chris D. and why should I care?
First off, this community is FIRE, and the high caliber humans here are inspiring as hell 🙌 That being said, you’re reading this newsletter to help you win, so let’s dive right in to the first practical takeaway from my story:
It’s not about YOU.
People show up for themselves, not for you, so give them a reason to show up. Use your voice for things you believe in (on video if you’re brave). Give them something of value before you talk about yourself or your ambition, and just maybe they’ll become interested in you after that. By the way, I’m Chris. I make videos.
2. What did you do before CT?
I was the kid selling stuff out of my backpack in school. I used to time my trips to ToysRUs for the new drops of StarWars toys. If I found anything rare, I’d buy 3 and sell 2 on this new website called eBay. I used to build websites in trade for merch and skateboard gear, film and edit content with the community, and get wrecked doing what I loved everyday with my friends. My childhood in the 90s prepped me for CT.
I turned my skillet to customizing cars at 19, and launched a company called FlyRyde.com in 2004. I used the buy / sell / create skills I learned as a kid to make custom automotive lighting products and services, and used YouTube to teach people about it. Social Media became a huge part of building my business and community, with Video always at the center of my brand.
3. What is the main thing you are working on right now?
As it turned out, helping people learn with video content, by simplifying complex ideas and processes, was actually a much more lucrative and scalable skill set than modifying fancy cars with my hands. Now I help people do the same thing I was in the trenches doing for the past 25 years, to build their personal brands, web3 businesses, and communities.
I started a creator education business called Shreditor.com. The name is a mashup of a Shooter / Editor / Producer, but the platform itself goes way beyond that. It’s a resource for Social Audio Hosts, Co-Hosts, LiveStreamers, Podcasters, Copywriters, and now even TimeStampers. It’s a free blog, online courses, and a place where I plan to put a spotlight on others.
We need more creators in web3, and I think teaching what I used to grow my little niche company to 100K on YouTube and TikTok is not only what I’m meant to do, but it’s also a ton of fun! I’ve even CoFounded a web3 company with some extremely talented friends, where we’re actively hiring and paying creators for their content. It’s called WenMedia.
4. What is one thing you wish more people would know?
Your own path is the only race you get to run. Comparison is the thief of joy, and mental health and self love are your only hope if you want to make it as a content creator. Embrace and appreciate your failures and adversity, and always be your own biggest fan. Be grateful for the wins and losses, and never forget that your time is precious, and nobody will value it more than you do, so use and sell it wisely.
5. What is one thing you want to leave people with at the end of this newsletter?
I love the idea that I can lean into my strengths, and in the words of GaryVee, “punt my weaknesses”. Since I focus so much on getting better at what I’m already great at, it’s become increasingly natural to see my weaknesses and failures as opportunities for others.
For everything I suck at, there’s somebody out there who not only excels at that thing, but LOVES it, and would be happy to get paid to do that thing. It’s exciting to be a builder, and to spend every day working hard in my lane, and finding others that impress the hell out me in theirs.
So much abundance 🙏

Chris has an insane story and is currently on Day 56 of an amazing daily video creation series on Twitter. He has also been super helpful with strategising how to scale up my Work-with-me live-streams. I’ll be going to him for any future video needs, and I recommend anyone else in the community to do the same. Thanks Chris!

Accountability Section:
It has been another productive week in the 1% community.
A round of applause to those who continue to participate in the accountability calls 👏
As we all strive to reach our goals, there is nothing more motivating to see than the collaborative and supportive nature personified by everyone in the Discord. It is truly incredible!
The next call is taking place in less than 48 hours (Tuesday, 28th February) at 1 pm EST. Mark your calendars, update your schedules, it is not something you are going to want to miss.
"Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result." - Bob Proctor
The attendance continues to grow each week. Here are some of the goals new members have set for themselves:
@TheMajor_eth - Automating high-ticket sales conversion, finalising the code for an ERC-20 token to launch & developing a plan for LinkedIn automated outreach. @ThePhunky1 - Will have read 7 chapters of the book 'Atomic Habits'.
@GregLunt27 - Twitter re-branding to launch this week. Some hype tweets in the pipeline.
@luislanderos46 - Keeping everything in the community locked down while the team is at NFT Paris.
@aidourtroops - Completing a 20 slide presentation for a new product and has weight loss goals to hit.
@Trillion_mfer - Holding himself accountable on holiday! By getting some much needed rest and connecting with nature.
